Helpful Information for Filing A Lobby Report

If you are in direct communications with “members of the legislative or executive branch” of the state of Texas government for the purpose of influencing legislative or administrative action, and cross either a compensation or expenditure threshold, Chapter 305 of the Government Code requires you to register with the Texas Ethics Commission and to file periodic reports of lobbying activity. You are a filer type LOBB.

If you already have a Filer ID and will be filing electronically, use the LOGIN link above to access your account.

If you don’t have a Filer ID, see How do I obtain a Filer ID? below.

If you can’t login to your account because you forgot your password, you can click Forgot Password? at the login screen to reset your password.

If you are a TEC filer and do not have a Filer ID, you will need to file a Form FILER ID REQ-LOBBY and a Form SECURITY-LOBBY in order to obtain your eight-digit Filer ID number and gain access to the TEC’s electronic filing application to file your reports. You will then be assigned an eight-digit Filer ID number, sometimes called an account number, like 00049300.
